Mentoring the Next Generation of Health Disparities Researchers

  • Shani Scott (Segment 1): In this video segment, Shani Scott, a research intern and mentee for the SOAR-MHHD Research Internship Program, shares her career aspirations, why she is interested in a career in minority health and health disparities, why she was interested in the SOAR-MHHD internship, what she thought about the program format.
  • Luciane Cavalli (Segment 1): In this video segment, Dr. Luciane Cavalli, a mentor for the SOAR-MHHD Research Internship Program, describes her research, speaks about her interest in minority health and health disparities research, and shares why she thinks it’s important for students from underrepresented backgrounds to get involved in minority health and health disparities research.
