The AcademyHealth/Aetna Foundation Scholars in Residence Fellowship:

This fellowship is designed to retain underrepresented racial/ethnic minorities in health services research by providing professional training and networking activities for junior and mid-career level  academics and clinical practitioners, who are conducting disparities research with a focus on population health. Fellows participate in several workshops, conferences and seminars and provide a $15,000 stipend to support a disparities research project.

Requirements: Candidates must be underrepresented racial/ethnic minorities: Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, and American Indian/Alaskan Native. Candidates must be junior to mid-career level academics or clinical practitioners, who are conducting disparities research with a focus on population health.

Clinton Global Initiative University:

The Clinton Global Initiative University hosts an annual meeting where students, university representatives, topic experts, and celebrities come together to discuss and develop innovative solutions to pressing global challenges. The five focus areas of the meeting include Education, Environment and Climate Change, Peace and Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation, and Public Health. As a prerequisite of attending the CGI U meeting, students must develop their own commitments to action. These include new, specific, and measurable initiatives that address pressing challenges on campus, in local communities, or around the world. Past commitments have ranged from manufacturing wheelchairs for developing countries to establishing campus bike share programs.

Requirements: Students must be 18 years of age or older and enrolled in an institution of higher education at the time of the CGI U meeting in order to apply. To be considered for admission, all applicants are required to make a Commitment to Action in one of CGI U’s five focus areas: Education, Environment and Climate Change, Peace and Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation, and Public Health.

VentureWell Student Grants:

The e-team program at VentureWell cultivates opportunities for collegiate technology entrepreneurs by providing early-stage support and funding of up to $75,000 to a multi-disciplinary team of students and faculty members working to bring a technology-based invention, product or service to market. VentureWell supports innovations that are scalable, commercially promising, and have a positive impact on society and/or the environment.

Requirements: 2 active students on the team for the duration of the proposed grant period. A faculty advisor acting as a principal investigator.

Coca-Cola Community Requests:

The Coca-Cola Company and its affiliated foundations accept applications for contributions, fundraising dinners, community sponsorships and civic activities. There is no dollar limitation for funding requests. Coca-Cola is particularly interested in projects concerning water stewardship, active healthy living, community recycling, and education.

Requirements:  Coca-Cola does not consider applications from fiscal agents or organizations engaging in discriminatory practices. Further restrictions can be found here
